Asian minor spiny mouse

Acomys cilicicus

TÜRGI OGAHIIR
МАЛОАЗИАТСКАЯ ИГЛИСТАЯ МЫШЬ
VÄHÄAASIANOKAHIIRI

Family: Muridae

This species was listed as critically endangered during the years 1996-2008. However, it could belong to the spiny mouse family and not as a separate species. More research is needed to be done.

Well-developed back legs help the spiny mouse jump and climb well. Gives birth in between stones or holes.
