The unique-looking lynx has advantages in its appearance: the long winter fur aka winter boots around its legs help it move easier in deep snow. Long ear tufts helps the lynx hear better. Prefers dense forest and is active at night. A skilled climber that preys on ground.

A lynx cub called Illu was one of the first animal of the Tallinn Zoo so the lynx became the icon animal for the zoo.
