Family: Canidae

The only canidae that doesn’t bark. Spends its winter hibernating when living in cold climates. Pretends to be dead in emergency situations to escape at the right time. Was brought to Estonia in 1950. Diet consists of small gnawers, birds and eggs, frogs, bugs, carcasses as well as berries, fruits and grains. Active during twilight.
