Family: Accipitridae

Diet consists mostly of fish, occasionally of rabbits, young seals and other mammals and carcasses. Nesting time in April-May. Builds the nest on top of the tree near water areas. The nest is 2,5 meters wide and 4 meters high mostly made out of sticks and is used for many years. Normally lays 2 eggs from which the other one survives.
