This Corning 96-well clear polystyrene microplate features an Easy Wash design (round to narrowed flat well bottom) for improved washing in immunoassays. Not treated (or medium binding) polystyrene surface is hydrophobic in nature and binds biomolecules through passive interactions. It is suitable primarily for the immobilization of large molecules, such as antibodies, that have large hydrophobic regions that can interact with the surface. The untreated microplate has a binding capacity of approximately 100 to 200ng IgG/sq cm. Conforms to standard microplate footprint and dimensions. EIA/RIA microplate is tested on a lot-to-lot basis and the certification results for each lot are made available upon request by contacting local Corning Life Sciences offices.
